Our Staff

Cynthia Merida
Cynthia started out as a receptionist in the field over 10 years ago in a small private clinic in Jackson Heights, Queens. She took to heart everything she learned about customer service over the years and always seeks a way to improve herself and the staff. Cynthia has many animals at home, ranging from your everyday dogs and cats(she has many cats!) to Vinny the Crested Gecko and pair of Axolotls she adores. Cynthia enjoys helping out pet owners on her time off, and is available for pet-sitting and medication demos in the Jackson Heights, Elmhurst, Woodside, Sunnyside and L.I.C areas.

Erin (Receptionist)
Erin is a nursing student with four years of customer service experience. She takes great pride and pleasure in greeting our four-legged friends as they walk through the door. Erin is well equipped to take care of all of our patients and clients’ needs, such as submitting insurance claims, getting refills of medicine ready to be picked up and filling out travel health certificates.
In her spare time she enjoys photography, reading and spending quality time with her loved ones.

Mitzi Menendez (Receptionist)
Mitzi has been working in the vet field for months now and she absolutely loves it. She is a dog lover, and hopes to own a few some day. She graduated with a Bachelors degree in Forensic Psychology at John Jay College and has 10 years of experience in customer service. In her spare time she likes to watch sports and cheer on her favorite teams.

Daniella (Vet Tech)
Daniella was born In Palmira, Colombia and raised in Queens, New York. She first came to us as a volunteer, but shortly after was hired as one of our veterinary assistants. Before becoming part of the City Vet family, Daniella volunteered at an animal shelter for 2 years. Aside from her compassionate, and caring nature, she shows great enthusiasm for science and medicine. She is currently an undergraduate student at Queens College.

Fotios Bris (Veterinary Technician)
Fotios has been in the veterinary field for many years and is very passionate about his career. He recently adopted his tuxedo kitten named Finn. He is a very big sports and music fan.

Justin Soto (Veterinary Technician)
Justin has always had a interest in helping animals and does not see himself in any other field. A Brooklyn resident, he moved back to his home state with his doggies Roxy(Collie mix) and Bella(Yorkie) early 2017 from Florida. Justin has a interest in emergency and overnight care from his days at VERG (Veterinary Emergency and Referral Group). He is looking forward to learning and improving on his skills with the more personal and one on one training he can receive at CityVet.
